Brintons helps E. Tautz’s tailor-made style

E. Tautz, London
Brintons has worked with renowned tailor Patrick Grant to help furnish his new luxury, ready-to-wear menswear store located in the heart of Mayfair.

E. Tautz opened its first flagship London store, which spans over two floors and occupies 2,000ft², on Duke Street. The shop was created by architects Sanderson Studios and takes its design style from the 1950s and 1960s.

The store features Brintons’ True Velvet Wilton carpets, which were handpicked by Patrick to create the perfect finish to the shop. The collection complements interiors that are understated yet glamorous and is available in bold colours to earthy tones to give an added sophistication.

Patrick Grant, Owner and Creative Director for E. Tautz, commented: “At E. Tautz we are passionate about quality and heritage. Our products are made in Britain by the finest craftsmen and women in their field. We wanted every aspect of our Duke St store to mirror these values and we are delighted and proud of our beautiful Brintons carpet.”

The interior features stripped back walls, beautiful mid-century furniture and a rich wooden clad staircase. The store, which dates back to 1867, is 100 yards from the original London premises of tailor Edward Tautz, from whom the brand gets its name.
