100% Design for London Design Festival will open on 21st - 24th September.
As the meeting place for business and design, 100% Design features a showcase of carefully-curated brands including Hakwood, a global leader in the production and design of high-end wood flooring, who will be launching a new product category: wood wall tiles, an exciting collection with unlimited creative possibilities.
The innovative wall tiles can be found on display at the Hakwood stand E479. Here visitors will discover a 4 meter tall ‘tree’ made out of Hakwood cubes, demonstrating that Hakwood’s high quality European oak is not limited to the floor. Surrounding the tree base are seating cubes where visitors are welcome to sit and use the concealed docking stations.
In addition, following the success of Hakwood’s sponsored feature ‘HakFolly’ for Clerkenwell Design Week 2016, Hakwood has chosen 100% Design to sponsor a show-stopping entranceway feature for the exhibition. The installation entitled ‘Design Path’ features a 15m long trail of Hakwood European oak Duoplank in a colourful herringbone pattern. Inspired by this year’s 100% Design theme ‘experience’, the fluid installation, designed by Sally Hogarth, meanders across the exhibition floor exploring vibrations and water patterns. Each plank of wood functions as a section of river generating ripples in the water.
