PORCEL-THIN TO PRESENT SOLID STONE ALTERNATIVE AT NATURAL STONE SHOW 2017

The Porcel-Thin team are set to appear at the Natural Stone Show.

The Porcel-Thin team appreciates that a rolling stone gathers no moss so they are set to appear at their fourth tradeshow of 2017, the Natural Stone Show, from 25th-27th April on stand G36. As the only UK trade exhibition devoted solely to natural stone, the Natural Stone Show expects to attract thousands of respected industry professionals, from architects and developers to stonemasons and retailers.

While Porcel-Thin tiles are not made from natural stone, they are an excellent alternative. These ultra-thin porcelain tiles offer the beauty of natural stone along with the strong, durable, light-weight, unabsorbent characteristics of porcelain. They might not be mined from a quarry but they look and feel like the real deal.

Those porcelain tiles on display at this year’s Natural Stone Show will include: the popular Calacatta marble effect Book Match collection; the elegant Melbourne "Sands of Time" collection, which takes advantage of pioneering digital printing techniques to perfectly capture the natural splendour and texture of sandstone; and the fabulous Ephesus collection, which encapsulates the sparkling texture and myriad shades of natural stone in large-format porcelain tiles.

But the Porcel-Thin team will have plenty of new offerings with which to wow the crowds too. As well as providing a first-look at their latest Book Match marble collection and extra-large format 2.4m x 1.2 m tiles, they will provide a preview of Bac-Tech – their innovative antibacterial tiles due to be launched in autumn 2017 – in case Natural Stone Show visitors are looking to diversify and rock the porcelain tile trend.

While porcelain tiles are traditionally used in kitchens and bathrooms, Porcel-Thin tiles have been used as a durable and stylish alternative to natural stone for patios and pool-sides too. They are also popular for urban garden and roof top space projects and to clad the walls of modern buildings such as apartments and office blocks.

Porcel-Thin’s Managing Director, Ray Smith, said: ‘‘The success of this fast-growing business is based on much more than its broad portfolio of top quality porcelain tiles in a range of beautiful styles.

“While our lightweight, ultra-thin porcelain tiles offer a range of practical benefits and attractive style choices to specifiers, architects and interior designers; it's the added value of our range of specialist services that makes us the go-to people for tile contract supply.”
