Get set to see thousands of interior and exterior surfaces showcased across three days, as Surface Design Show 2017 returns to London’s Business Design Centre from 6pm on Tuesday 7th February until 5pm on Thursday 9th February.

For more than 11 years,the show has become the destination for the industry to see, touch and explore the latest materials and gain new insights. Featured within the show is Light School, The Stone Gallery, The CPD Hub and Surface Spotlight Live.

The Show will once again have a packed programme of events all designed to inspire and engage, including brand new ideas and firm favourites refreshed to provide the specifying audience with a unique visiting experience.

The Surface Design Awards are the only awards in the UK that recognise and celebrate outstanding examples of progressive design and the use of innovative surfaces in projects both in the UK and internationally.

33 projects have been named as finalists, with 13 awards to be given out in 7 different categories. 45% of the projects on the 2017 shortlist are from overseas with each project being judged on a range of criteria including the type of surface, the use of materials and aesthetic design. Included among the 2017 finalists are international practices including Foster + Partners, Arup, Giles Miller Studio and BuckleyGreyYeoman. A supreme winner will be decided from all of the winning shortlisted projects highlighting which surface in the judge’s opinion is the overall winner.

All of the winners along with the Supreme Award winner will be announced at a presentation held at Surface Design Show 2017 on Thursday 9 February at the Business Design Centre, London.
