Diespeker & Co has been crowned Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m turnover) at the Made in the South East Awards.

Now in their fifth year, the awards were compèred by presenter Alexis Conran, with Dr Sally Beken from Innovate UK giving the keynote speech. The event was held at the Hilton Hotel in Gatwick, and MD John Krause was delighted when Diespeker was announced as the winner.

John said: “It was a great evening celebrating manufacturing in the South East; there is clearly a huge amount of innovation and expertise in the region.

“We have had the most amazing couple of years experiencing high levels of growth and moving into new markets abroad. It is a real pleasure to have the hard work of everyone involved acknowledged by this award.”

The judges said: “Diespeker now dominates the bespoke terrazzo market and has grown significantly over the last year. The judges were not only impressed by this but also with its noteworthy growth in orders from landmark projects around the world.”

The Manufacturer awards are run by B2B media company Insider to recognise and reward manufacturing companies based in the region that have demonstrated success in innovation, product development and growth in either domestic or overseas markets.
  
Diespeker will now go through to the national final, the Made in the UK Awards 2018, which will take place next June in Liverpool.
