CLERKENWELL DESIGN WEEK POSTPONED TO MAY 2022

The next Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) event will take place in May 2022, organisers have confirmed.

The next Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) event will take place in May 2022, organisers have confirmed.

In a statement released on its website, organisers explained that the decision to postpone the event- initially due to be held in May 2021- was made after close monitoring of the current situation and continued discussions with all stakeholders.

The design festival, which showcases the best in interior design across showrooms, installations and exhibitions throughout the Clerkenwell area of London each year, will now be held from 24th-26th May 2022.

The statement on its website read: “Following the government's recent announcement, there will still be restrictions in place this May, therefore we feel that the best option for all parties involved is to postpone CDW until 2022 to ensure that we can deliver the much-loved festival without compromise.

“Postponing to next year means that we can secure CDW’s future, giving us time, as an industry and as a community, to come together and deliver an even better festival in 2022.

“Whilst we are disappointed, we are also excited to announce the launch of BSPOKE, a series of focused digital events to help the industry stay connected.

“One thing we know for sure though – the appetite for a live CDW experience has grown every day this pandemic has gone on. We all long for the chance to bring that undeniable CDW buzz and splash of pink back to the streets of Clerkenwell in 2022.”
