Material Lab – the design resource studio and materials library set up by tile manufacturer Johnson Tiles - has added four new partners to its roster.

EGGER, Metlex, Norcros Adhesives and Sensitile join the portfolio of high-calibre design brands whose latest ranges are available at the Great Titchfield Street studio. Existing partners include VADO, Dulux Trade, Karndean Designflooring, modulyss, Flowcrete, Tektura and Mayfair Granite, alongside Johnson Tiles.

Offering the architecture and design community the opportunity to explore materials in a hands-on way, Material Lab combines inspiration and expertise to advise on ready-to-specify solutions.

In addition to seasonal, in-studio displays, a regular programme of events – ranging from lightning talks to CPDs and expert panel discussions – supports new product launches and partner innovations.

Commenting on the latest partnerships, Nigel Stannard, Commercial Director at Johnson Tiles, said: “Since opening its doors in 2006, Material Lab has been ahead of the curve. From listening to the needs of the design sector, to working with the most innovative partners to showcase true industry ingenuity, we’ve been at the heart of the A&D community.

“Welcoming four new esteemed partners to the studio has been exciting for us as we enter a new era for Material Lab. With a move towards more specification-ready materials, our focus is on assisting the A&D community with their projects more efficiently than ever before.”

Material Lab supports its studio activity with a popular online journal and Instagram account. These platforms serve as inspiration ‘hubs’ where partner and industry news is shared alongside reviews, advice and top monthly material highlights.
