Designer Contracts, UK flooring contractor, has appointed David Walker as its new finance director.

David is a CIMA qualified accountant with over 20 years’ experience as a senior professional having held financial director positions in both the retail and property sectors.

Before joining Designer Contracts, David was head of regional finance at HC-One Ltd the UK’s third largest care home provider. He worked with regional directors and head office departments to maximize company performance through insightful management reporting, KPI analysis and challenging working practices.

David takes over from John Dalton, who has worked for the company for the past 10 years. John will be staying with the business as a part time consultant.

David said: “I am delighted to be joining Designer Contracts at this exciting time. I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with such a friendly and professional team and look forward to the challenges ahead.”

Married with two daughters, David is an enthusiastic club tennis player within the Nottinghamshire tennis leagues. He also follows Nottingham Forest and has a keen interest in history.
