Mapei’s line-up for Clerkenwell Design Week (24-26 May) will focus on tone, texture and taste, with a three-day Colour Festival. Events will take place at the recently refurbished Mapei World London City Specification Centre in Great Sutton Street and will include product launches and inspirational exhibitions, as well as chocolate, ice cream and art.
Tuesday 24 May - Grout & Sealant Showcase
During Day One, Mapei’s Grout & Sealant Showcase will include the launch of new grout and sealant colours plus new products Kerapoxy Easy Design and Mapecolor Metallic with a brand-new installation. An exhibition of tiles and mosaics will demonstrate creative displays using complimentary and contrasting grout tones. Visitors will also be able to experiment with different combinations throughout the event - from a palette of 86 shades - using a brand-new Grout App. To celebrate the new launches, Mapei’s BRIK Chocolate Workshop will allow visitors to create tasty samples of Ice Grout – a bespoke chocolate bar iced in the new Mapei grout colour – and visitors can also enjoy nitro desserts in the new ‘shades/flavours’, with savoury snacks from the Nacho trike throughout the three-day event.
Wednesday 25 May - Cementitious & Resin Flooring Showcase
On Day two, the Cementitious & Resin Flooring Showcase will focus on Mapei’s new Ultratop Loft colours, with examples of bespoke effects achieved using Ultratop Loft, Ultratop and Resin Flooring. For the palate, visitors can create their own chocolate terrazzo bar at Mapei’s BRIK Chocolate Workshop and savour Loft ‘coloured/flavoured’ nitro desserts.
Thursday 26 May - Paint & Coatings Showcase
Day three will include a Paint & Coatings Showcase, with an exhibition of Mapei wall coatings in paint and tonachino, and examples of the textures and colours achievable using external and internal coatings. On this final day, Mapei will also host a gnome-themed paint workshop, with paint ‘coloured/flavoured’ nitro desserts.
Mapei looks forward to welcoming visitors across the three-day festival at 6 Great Sutton Street, London EC1V 0BX
