CERAMIQUE’S NEW TILE COLLECTION IS AS SIMPLE AS BLACK AND WHITE

A new collection by tile distributor Ceramique Internationale is set to satisfy the UK’s passion for monochrome tiles and patterns.

The Spanish-made Clarice series consists of petite glazed porcelain tiles in plain black and white, complemented by two striking geometric monochrome patterned tiles.

Monochromatic tiling patterns came to prominence in the period homes of the Victorian era, as an eye-catching but more affordable and practical alternative to the highly decorated and colourful designs being implemented in upper-class and architectural settings. The versatile chequerboard effects have remained popular ever since, due to their ability to transform narrow spaces and accentuate space.

Playing on this timeless appeal, the plain 150mm x 150mm Clarice tiles are suited to floors and walls, paths and patios, with the intense black and crisp white perfect for creating a chequered effect that just doesn’t date.

The powerful black Navette geometric pattern tiles will add drama and sophistication while the jazzy white Cliffe pattern tile can add the wow-factor to kitchen walls, or pack a punch on a bathroom or hallway floor.

Director of Ceramique Internationale Peter Vann, said: “Black and white tiles have never really gone out of fashion and the addition of these two geometric patterns in the Clarice collection opens up a whole world of potential for striking laying patterns and features which we think interior designers and consumers will love.”
