Stone Federation has announced the shortlisted projects for the 2020 Natural Stone Awards.  

Organisers said that, in spite of the challenges that this year has presented, it was incredibly encouraging to see that both the quantity and quality of entries was equal to that of its previous Natural Stone Awards.

Due to the evolving and unpredictable nature of the restrictions on events, Stone Federation made the decision to host the Natural Stone Awards online.  

A statement from the Stone Federation said: “While we would have cherished the opportunity to gather with you all in person, this is simply not possible at this moment in time.

“The winners will be announced at our online Natural Stone Awards ceremony on Friday 19th March 2021.”

The Natural Stone Awards is a biennial event set up by Stone Federation and has established itself as the most prestigious awards event in the natural stone industry calendar. The Awards celebrate and recognise the excellence of design in natural stone projects from across the industry. Each year, the Awards see work from throughout the British Isles entered across the various categories.

The Awards provide a chance for the industry to showcase the wide range of applications possible with natural stone and to demonstrate that it is the ideal building material, providing architects, designers and clients with a sustainable, durable and attractive end product.

Entries can be made by anyone involved in the project, including the architect, main contractor, stone contractor, stone supplier, client or building owner.
