To celebrate opening its new training centre in Doncaster, Flooring Assessments will be donating tool kits worth over £250 to every apprentice signed up from April to August this year.

Flooring Assessments trainer Daniel Fairhurst said: “We want to give our apprentices the best start possible in their floor laying careers and this will really help them from the off. I can remember being an apprentice myself trying to save money for my own tool kit, it wasn’t easy, but getting those tools meant I could practice my new skills by doing small jobs for friends and family.”
 
The apprenticeship will run over 18 months and is fully funded for apprentices aged 16-18 with a grant of £1500 available for employers. Apprentices will receive training on preparing sub-floors, installing carpets, commercial & domestic vinyl, luxury vinyl tiles and wood flooring leading to a NVQ Level 2.

Flooring Assessments can also deliver an NVQ Level 2 in floorcoverings through on-site assessment training for experienced workers.
